Lydia's taking a nap? Yeah, right!

These two pictures are just cute...one is of Briggs and Lydia cuddling on the couch. (Briggs requested that I take it because they were "so cute!")  The other picture is of Lydia while she was taking a "nap". If you'll notice, she's wearing Sadie's shoes, was reading Sadie's book (Harry Potter 6!), has Sadie's old purse and Brigham's Ben 10 watch. Yes, lot's of sleeping going on here. AUGHHH!  We're just SO sad that she's figured out how to get out of the crib! If she wasn't so BUSY, BUSY, BUSY, BUSY, BUSY, BUSY AND MORE BUSY, it would't be a problem. But we are IN TROUBLE!  Can I put a gate or net over the top of her crib? I'm KIDDING! (kind of) :)

Briggs LOVES school!

Briggs is just the cutest little kid! Every day when I drop him off at school, he gives hugs and kisses, jumps out of the car and blows me kisses and then walks up to PRE-K (NOT preschool! as he puts it) like a little man. Then when I pick him up and ask what he liked about school today, his answer is always "EVERYTHING!" This is a picture of one of his school friends, Abby. He saw her at Liam's program and it was like they were long lost best friends!  Geesh guys, it's only been 4 hours since you saw each other last! There's a lot of love in the Pre-K class! :)

Piano Recital...tinkling those ivory's!

Sadie and Liam had their piano recital last week....it was great! They have a fabulous piano teacher...we just love her! They both love her and sometimes even fight over who gets to practice first....WHAT????  I never had that problem when I was younger! :)  They were awesome! We're so proud of them! Thanks, Daleesa, for your teaching and musical talents...we're so lucky that you share them with us!

Liam's school program

video

Liam had his school program on Thursday and it was really good! He had a speaking part and did a great job. Here's some pics...yes, that is a weird hat on his head! He looked pretty cute, though!

More Hair

Ok, these pictures are just funny. Liam is growing out his hair, on purpose, and Chuck's is too long because he hasn't had time to go in and get it cut! So, they were goofing off one night doing ponytails and I got photographic evidence! :)  I may be disowned or suddenly disappear after this post...if so, I leave my cherished blankie to Sadie! :)

Lydia's first Haircut

Well, Lydia is more that 2 years old and has never had a haircut, so it's time! She also had all these little fuzzies sticking out in front where her baby hair was growing in, so I thought bangs would help. I resisted it for a long time but it just looked so silly, so I decided to suck it up and have them cut. So, we got there, were almost done with the haircut and the girl said, "She's got a pretty bad "cowlick" (or however you spell that) so you'll have to blowdry her bangs every morning...are you sure you want to cut bangs?" Well, me, knowing nothing about hair thought, "How bad could it be?" so we went ahead with it.  Well, as you can see from the pictures, one is of her haircut, one is of her with her cute bangs and one if how she feels when she sees the cowlick!  :)  (Actually, she'd just gotten knocked in the head by Briggs who was trying to get in the picture with her...poor kid!) I'm not kidding, that it looks like that if I don't blowdry and "style" her hair. Style a 2  year olds hair? Are you kidding me? So, it only gets done when it's a must. Otherwise, she looks all "cowlicky"! :) It's a good thing she's cute!  Now...on to growing bangs out! :) Ahhhhh, the joys!

Liam is 9!

On Nov. 5, Liam turned 9 and we had a FUN birthday...NIGHT GAMES! We have a creek area at the end of our subdivision so we invited all of his friends, gave everyone flashlights and they played Capture the Flag and Kick the Can (which was the favorite of the evening!)  It was a fun night and I can't believe Liam is 9 already!

Cake decorating contest!

The kids had a cake decorating contest for the school Fall Festival Cake Walk on Friday. I've never done it before because it seemed like a lot of work---I was right!  But it was a lot of fun too.  Here are pictures of them with their cakes---I messed up on the vines on Sadie's pumpkin so it looks a little like hair, but if a pumpkin was to actually "have" hair, it would be green and look like vines, right????? :) Briggs wanted his spider to be a black widow which totally freaked Sadie out---he loved that!  And Liam wanted to replicate Brigham's tank cake and guess what? Liam won 1st place in the 3rd grade for cakes!!! He was so excited!!!  It was fun and worth the headache of it all! :)

Briggs is 5!!!

Briggs turned 5 on the 26th and had a fun birthday. He LOVES army stuff and so we made this cute Army tank cake...so easy and the kids loved it, especially Briggs!  He told me that night that it was "the best day ever...that cake was so cool, Mom!"  Ok, so my heart melted a little bit and made me forget all the times I want to strangle him (gently of course)---moms need those paychecks of the heart sometimes!!!  His party was fun though...target practice with the nerf guns, paper airplane distance contests & lots of fun with friends.  Thank you to everyone who made it a perfect day for our favorite 5 year old!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Here are our cute little spooks!  Sadie was a devil (really? she's just too cute and nice!) , Liam was Harry Potter (big shocker----but we actually sprayed his hair black this time!) Briggs was Curious George (he was going to be an army guy until we got costumes on on Saturday...go figure...I'd love to know what goes on in his little mind!) and Lydia was a butterfly. She LOVED trick or treating and it was so funny to watch her running down the street from house to house. The homes with dogs couldn't get rid of her...she just wanted to play with the "goggies" but as soon as they got close to her she was afraid!  When her bucket got full she keps saying, "It's heavy!"  So cute!!! Hope your Halloween was FUN!

Spotlight on Briggs!

Spotlight…Brigham Cole

Briggs was the Spotlight Child in Primary at Church today. For those of you that don't know, they choose 2 kids a week and do a special "spotlight" of them...it's so fun because it makes them feel special!  I thought this was definately a "blog-worthy" entry, especially the photos...too funny! Here's what I shared about our Mr. B:

Wants to be a fireman, policeman or "Army Guy" when he grows up AND he wants to invent a Tornado Gun that he can shoot at Tornadoes and make them go away so that no one gets hurt by them.

Loves to play cars, jump on the trampoline, ride his bike, dress up and play pretend (especially as Superman or a Dragon!)

He feels really special when his big brother, who is his hero, plays with him.

Loves reading at night, especially when his mom or dad are cuddling with him!

Birthday---Oct. 26th

Briggs is a fun loving, energetic ALMOST 5 year old who has a loving heart and a larger than life spirit! He keeps us laughing with his funny comments and the crazy faces he pulls when he has his picture taken. (I included the pictures Sis. Milligan took last year for the program)  He also is very aware of his family….he's sensitive to their feelings and is also very good at giving compliments and making people feel good.  We LOVE him SOOOOO much and are so glad he's a part of our family!

Lydia keeps up laughing!

Lydia cracks me up!!! These are just a few of her many little "cute" escapades in the last 48 hours. One is of her after a Braum's chocolate ice cream cone...yum! Another is of her in Mommy's boots---it was HILARIOUS to see her try to walk in them!  And the last is of her this morning---she chose her own clothes!  I'm not much for letting her do that (as you can see from her choices!) but we have nowhere to be today so I thought...what the heck! She's wearing one of Briggs' shirts, her PJ bottoms and I just realized that we didn't get her shoes on but she definately wants her tennis shoes....atleast she let me do her hair! :) Of course, she chose a big red flower!  It all comes together so nicely, don't you think?
