TOP TEN THINGS WE LOVED ABOUT OUR TRIP TO UTAH!!!
10-Oddly, we all love road trips! Especially when we miss the turn off in Salina (how many times have we made this trip? That’s what happens when Chuck is listening to a Glen Beck Book on CD! Hee, hee!) and end up in Concordia , KS…miles away from the Nebraska border! There was a gorgeous old convent there though and I got to take a mini tour—loved it!
9-Seeing some of the fun, local sites---the Aquarium where we got to pet stingrays, the Clarke Planetarium where we got to “walk on the moon and on Mars”, riding the Lightrail for the first time,
8-Feeling at home with the GORGEOUS Utah Mountain! Ahhhh….there’s nothing like those beautiful mountains and the stunning Salt Lake Valley!
7-Seeing a 3-D movie with the Warnocks and Papa Carl---Journey 2 was a GREAT show!!!
6-Riding Grandpa Don’s dirt bikes. Liam and Briggs were in heaven!
5-Going to our favorite Utah restaurants----Hires (yummy rootbeer floats, the BEST onion rings E-V-E-R and a Roquefort bacon H!), Café Rio (amazing salad & homemade tortillas) and we saved the best for last---TRAINING TABLE! It’s my favorite place in Utah…the place where Chuck and I went on our first date! I love it so much that I even took a picture of my stand by meal that I get every time. It makes me happy! (and don’t ask me how much weight I gained on this trip---just know that I’ve been exercising ever since I got back…and it’s working! )
4-GEISLER-AMA! We miss our dear friends from Stillwater---they are our Oklahoma Family and we always have so much fun with them. Love you guys! (it’s also fun that Sadie and Jonah are old enough to babysit the kids so that the parents can go out to dinner on our own!)
3-Seeing Cousins…love, love, love everyone! Grandma’s and Grandpa’s---everyone. We got to see all of Chuck’s family and both my brothers, Dan & Ben, and their families, plus LaDawn and her family. (and my best friend while I was growing up, Michelle, came to visit too! ) You can see some of the crazy pictures we took with everyone….We’re so lucky to have the best family in the world!!!
2-Visits with Grandma Davie. What a wonderful woman….one who has touched all our lives. Love you Grandma!
1-Family time…seeing our extended family was so fun and making our own little family memories was wonderful too. Family vacations aren’t always the easiest with laundry, packing, driving, entertaining---and that’s just getting there! But the memories we make are priceless and worth every bit of the hassle---even if it takes a week to recover after the vacation. It’s still worth it!

It was soooo great seeing you! Thanks for taking time out of your busy, busy schedule to see me. Seeing all of you made me smile! Katie even asked today, "when do we go back to your friend's house that has the black hair?" Both of us are looking forward to seeing you again in the summer. Love ya!
