When we lived in Stillwater, we hosted a Valentine’s Couples party a few times and it was so much fun! It’s been years since doing that and my friend, Anne, and I were talking and decided to do it again. It turned into a big affair (the more the merrier!) with about 18 couples. We played the “Newleywed Game” which was hysterical! The guys got a “Get Out Of The Doghouse Free” pass for having to answer questions…here’s a few of my favorite answers…(don’t worry, I won’t tattle tale on who said them!)
~How would your wife describe your first kiss in one word? “Awkward!” And the funny thing is…he was right! Now mind you, this is from Mr. NFL---we heard the story and he restored my faith in Football Dudes! It was a scream!
~What traffic sign would you use to describe your wife when she’s in a bad mood? “Beware of Dog!” Oh, he is in SO much trouble and is going to NEED the “Get Out of the Doghouse Free” pass!
We did another game where we each wrote a sentence of a story then passed it to the next person. The end result was too funny but then we couldn’t decide how to judge the winners so one of the guys suggested making paper airplanes out of the story pages and see which one flew the furthest…works for me! (I also think it made things more guy friendly! The balloons, flowers and conversation hearts were just a bit too much!) Fun times!

This looks like so much fun!! Why do I only recognize a few of the couples? Has our ward changed that much? Love the idea!
